Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the hours of the nursery school?
The nursery school is opened Monday to Friday during the hours of 8:30am-11:30am and from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Families may choose a 2day or 3day morning program which is from 8:45 to 11:15am. We also have an afternoon program that runs from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, Monday to Wednesday.
  • What is the daily schedule?
You will find the daily schedule on the Our Programs page.
  • At what age may I enroll my child?
We accept children from the age of 24 months (limited spaces for 24 to 30 months) to the age of 5 years old.
  • Does my child need to be potty trained to attend?
Your child does not need to be fully toilet trained. They may attend with a pull up. If your child has a bowel movement, we will call home for a pick up/change. We do not have diapering stations on site. We will remove wet clothing and send it home at pick up. Toilet training can be a difficult transition, we are here to encourage and support toileting routines.
  • What are the teacher qualifications?
We have two qualified RECE's on staff and classroom assistants. Rena and Denise have met all Ministry of Education, Early Childhood College of Education CPL Program, Niagara Region Quality Child Care requirements and have their Food Handler's Certificate. All staff and assistants hold a valid CPR 1St Aid/Infant Level C certificate and Criminal Reference checks.
  • How do I enroll my child?
Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Please email or call the school for information and availability. After we have confirmed availability, forms can be accessed on the website. All forms must be fully completed and the $50 registration fee e- transferred to the school's email address, this will ensure your child's spot. Further correspondence will be available closer to the child's start date.
  • Do you accommodate children with allergies or dietary restrictions?
We are a peanut/nut free facility. If your child has a life-threatening allergy, we require an Epi pen (original container, sealed, dated) to be kept on site. Parents/Guardians are required to give all staff a walkthrough training and complete all individual emergency plan forms.
